Kalau boleh saya bilang, film ini salah satu film Jepang yang terbaik menurut saya, soalnya ya lumayan bikin aku sedih, nangis, dan bener-bener tak terduga untuk alurnya. maka dari itu, di sini, saya akan mereviewnya sekilas, hehe.kisah ini bermula saat Akari (Tokoh Utama) harus menerima kenyataan bahwa ibunya mengalami suatu kecelakaan. diceritakan di sini bahwa ibunya itu termasuk seorang peneliti handal dan suka mengoleksi uang koin jepang.
Saat menjenguk ibunya, Akira mendapatkan perintah dari ibunya bahwa ia harus pergi kembali ke tahun 1972 untuk menyampaikan pesan dari ibunya kepada seseorang yang dulunya dicintai ibunya Akira ini.
Singkat cerita, Akira kemudian meminum ramuan khusus yang diciptakan oleh ibunya untuk bisa kembali ke masa lalu atau bahasa kerennya bisa digunakan untuk Time Traveller. Animasinya agak alay sih sebenernya saat Akira masuk lingkaran waktu. hehe. Treng reng reng, setelah lama berputar-putar di pusaran waktu, akhirnya Akira sampailah di tempat yang ia tuju yaitu Laboratorium. sayangnya laboratorium ini bukanlah tempat kenangan masa lalu ibunya waktu SMP, tapi lab ini merupakan lab salah satu universitas ternama di Jepang, dan parahnya lagi, dia hanya meloncat sampai tahun 1974, bukannya sampai 1972 seperti yang dipesankan oleh ibunya.
Cerita ini memberikan kita pelajaran bahwa : "selagi ada kesempatan, gunakanlah kesempatan itu sebaik-baiknya"
